1898 was when the BroomWade story started, in the form of Broom and Wade; building machinery for the woodworking industry. 1919 was not only a year of name change (BroomWade) but it also saw the company produce their first air compressor.
Within a short period of time BroomWade built a reputation for quality air compressors, to the point that they were market leaders in many countries. 1968 was when BroomWade merged with Holman to create International Air Corporation, which shortly after became CompAir.
Established over 100 years ago, the BroomWade brand is known globally as an established manufacturer of industrial air compressors.
BroomWade was acquired by Gardner Denver, Inc. in 2008, a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered compressors, blowers, pumps and other fluid transfer equipment.
